I met Sandy and Bailey a few years ago at one of my first monthly dog hikes (#travelswithollie). Bailey is a sassy pup—always up for barking at the wind and romps in the wild. She is definitely one of the feistiest elders in my hiking group.
Bailey and Sandy are the founders of the DC Single Dog Parents. Their mission is to help single dog owners connect and share with each other through events and online communities. This is not a dating group. This is about celebrating the wonderful and, sometimes, challenging world of dog parenting. You don't have to be single to join the fun, all dog lovers are welcome. :)
Sandy has had Bailey since she was a puppy and their bond is tight. They've been through so much together—new careers, big moves and recently, Bailey's cancer diagnosis. For their session, we met up at some of DC's most iconic spots—Union Station and the US Capitol Building. For 2 hours on a chilly December afternoon, Bailey showed off her resiliency and made sure everyone knew she was the star of the show.
