Danielle and Mike adopted Darwin last fall before the worst of the pandemic hit. They had been wanting to get a dog for sometime and since both of them were able to work from home, 2020 was the year to do it. Darwin is one of those scruffy, fun-loving mixed breeds—a mix of chihuahua, lab, border collie, beagle and a few others according to the DNA test. He's excited about everything and bonded with his new family instantly.
We met at Green Springs Gardens on a bright + sunny morning in May. We played on the lawn, chasing toys and running around (all on the leash) and explored the beautiful gardens to capture some sweet portraits of Darwin and Danielle. Seeing how Darwin completed their little family made for a memorable morning doing the work I love so much.
