4 pups at the beach before coffee? Yeah sure, we can do that.
I met up with Marita and Maria at Leesylvania State Park on a warm morning in August for a shoot with 4 little balls of energy. The way they all flung themselves out of the car gave me pause – this was going to be a tough one. Good thing I love a challenge.
We made our way down to the sandy beach along the Potomac River with 4 leashes going 4 different directions. I decided it would be best to start with one at time then work up to a group shot once they were a little more tired out. It worked well and made for some sweet moments between Marita and each of her pups. Maria, who purchased the session for Martia, thankfully, came to help out. So I gave her my reflector to help me even out the lighting on what became a very sunny morning. (Have I mentioned my clients are the BEST?)
After each pup had their moment in front of the lens, it was time for the family shot. Marita, a seasoned dog-mom, simply scooped them all up, I made some weird noises and the rest is history.
